I just joined Maine Coon Cat Nation and wanted to share our sweet girl, LeeLoo, and our handsome boy, Tidus.
LeeLoo is a two-year-old Black Silver Torbie and white gorgeous girl with lots of spunk, energy, and loads of charm! She is our precious girlie girl who loves spending time with us and being loved on.
Tidus just turned a year old, today, and is a handsome Silver Ticked Tabby and white big boy!
He is a fiercely playful toy attacker who loves being my little entourage around the house as he supervises all of my daily tasks. Both of our sweet MC kitties bring our family so much love and joy each day!
Tidus' birthday is 12/6/21 and LeeLoo's is 10/18/20. We are so in love with their sweet, unique personalities!

Laverne doesn’t run to the window when she hears someone at the door, she just sits up and stretches to see. She is quite the character!

Such a gorgeous girl and super sweet disposition to have.
Cheers Jay
Shirley is my first Maine Coon. She now has a little sister "Laverne." Shirley is everything I had hope and wished for in this breed.
She is gentle, affectionate and laid back. She is also very smart. She is what they always say about Maine Coons - the dogs of the cat world.
She grew up with a Newfoundland dog around so she fit right in with her. She’s my heart and soul!

Willow is a super sweet 2.5 years young coon. She is so gentle when we play regardless of the damage she can do with those huge paws. She loves to snuggle.
She is so graceful, playful, and will jump inside a box the second it hits the floor. With her curious nature there is nothing off limits to this girl.
by: Lisa M in Weymouth MA
We rescued Bambi over a year ago. She is an older Maine Coon Cat. (on the left) Pumpkin we got in November and she is 7 months old.
Both are total love bugs. (on the right) These two are best friends and love to cause trouble.

Jack was born in northern Maine and now lives in western New York. Jacks family consists of three other Kitties plus my Wife and I.
Jack will be three years young in April. He loves to spend time outside in his Catio as well as drinking water from the kitchen sink. He's the love of our life.

Royce is a male (neutered) Coon. At 20 months, he weighs almost 17 pounds - I actually keep a detailed record of his growth (see table).
As per the breeder, he is of Ukranian descent, with pretty large parents. I wonder if anyone here would be able to tell how big he can eventually get by age 4?
Royce spends the days outdoors (gated community) and does a lot of hunting (mice, voles, bats, birds, lizards) - we keep him indoors during the night, though we do let him wander one or two nights a month, he loves it.
by: Jessica Zerr in Sinking Spring, PA USA
OUR BABY BOY IS GROWING SO BIG! He is a High Blue Smoke, but is quite different for this color in the Maine Coons! We are a small family cattery registered with TICA in Pennsylvania, USA.
Our Maine Coon kittens are our pride, including their health, and each one is truly spoiled and loved while being raised here in our home.
Each of our breeding cats have Optimal Selection DNA testing done and are N/N (clear) for HCM, SMA, PKD, PKDeF, Negative for FIV / FeLV, seen for Hips and Heart Echocardiograms done and are Normal. 💛

Shiloh was born on July 1, 2021 in Russia. He travelled to Ottawa, Canada with the help of Nobel Maine Coon. He came to his forever home shortly after Christmas 2021.
Given the fact that he was born on Canada Day, he is now officially Canadian after recently celebrating his 1st birthday.
And you'll agree, he wears red, which is his favorite colour, quite well.
At 14 lbs and still growing, he is so adorable and the sweetest, most gentle and social cat. I just love him to pieces.

Ernie and Frank are best buds. They love cardboard boxes and play fighting. They are the bosses in our house! The worst thing they have ever done was escaping out of the loft window onto the roof!

My girls are litter sisters. And they love to be outside safely of course. Here some pics.

Loki and Lily are Maine Coon siblings born on 1/29/2022 from XL parents. They have been such a blessing and beautiful addition to our family.
Loki is a polydactyl Black Smoke male and at his vet check up 2 weeks ago he already weighed a whopping 11 pounds! He is the biggest lover and enjoys snuggling on my chest. He’s quite the talker too!
Whenever he wants attention, which is all the time, he’s not afraid to use his prettiest chirp to remind us of his presence.
Lily is a tabby female. She’s much more independent than Loki is. Don’t pick this girl up because she doesn’t like being told what to do! She comes to you on her terms and don’t you forget it.
That doesn’t stop her from being the biggest sweetheart though. She takes great comfort in laying on our lap while she begins her full time job of making biscuits.
Lily and Loki currently have an Instagram account with 11k followers and they would love to see you take joy in their life and watch them grow!
I have a feeling that Loki is going to be extremely exotic looking once he hits his growth spurt.
by: Jillian in the United Kingdom
Milo is a grey smoke the kitten of a Russian import, Eli is my handsome red. Milo is a total softie, loves being cuddles.
Eli is more independent and likes to in his catio watching the birds and squirrels. They love to cuddle up together, but they also like rough and tumble playtime.

We are Registered breeders of beautiful big healthy Maine Coons. Here is Maddy one of our beautiful girls with one of her boys.
She is absolutely adorable and loves everyone. She loves her cuddles also play time, her favourite game is fetch where I have to throw her toy mouse and she brings it right back.
Maddy makes me so happy and know when I feel under stress she will sit on my lap.. it’s the best medication anyone can have.. I love her so much.

Centauri Blu won our hearts from day 1.. He arrived in our home and hearts 4 yrs ago. We had picked him from the breeders at a day old so had a waiting period before he could come home with us.
He has filled our lives and hearts with so much love and affection. He's so intelligent and always wanting to learn..
He fetches, rolls over, does high five, knows many words, such as treat, cookie, bye bye, ni nite, drink your water etc.
We can't imagine this precious darling not in our lives. Love him to pieces!

What a beauty!!!! What are they calling that fur color? My Coonie is blue silver.
He also likes to lay across the top of the sofa, usually the spot where I am
sleeping underneath.
My guy also follows commands, but not as many as yours. I think that is because I didn't get him at a young age, he was 6 years.
by: Dianne Bos in the Netherlands
Lucy is our Princess. We adopted her at the age of 3, leaving a cattery were she was bullied. With us she changed in an adorable princess who gives the best kisses and paws.
by: Alice in Fountain, CO, USA
Molly is a 17 month old Coonie with such a sweet personality.
She's been in our family for two months now and is warming up to us more every day.
She is a constant companion at bedtime and claims her spot every night. She loves being groomed and will even roll from side to side so I don't miss any spots on her silky coat.
She purrs loudly when she's in her groove! She's energetic and loads of fun to interact with.
She is inquisitive and always willing to get into anything that is within her reach. There are very few dull moments with her!

Pandora is just the most amazing little girl. She is 6 and loves to hoard her toys.
Leo is 9 months old, full of fun, smarts and love wrapped in a white and orange fluff. He loves his doggie sister, Mia, but isn't a fan of his sister from another mother, Pickles.
Leo loves his cat tree, playing fetch is also a favorite game. However, he absolutely hates when mommy leaves the house (he will cry at me before I leave and then watch me sadly from the window.
Yes, I feel awful for going to work). I don't know if my heart could love his silly self more.
by: Lisa Roderick in Florida
Leo just celebrated his 1st birthday with a new bed for his favorite nap spot in the living room. Leo LOVES his cat tree and his chirping bird toys.
He’s also a prankster and loves to jump out and scare his daddy every night at bed time.

with character!
by: Peggy in Michigan
She is 10 months old and sassy. She loves to eat her fancy feast. She loves her springs. She plays with them non stop.
She bats them all over the house. She brings them to her humans and pushes them so we will throw them for her.
She is a love bug when she wants to be other wise. She wants to be left alone while she looks out the window.
by: Suzanna in Elk Grove, CA
Sapphire is very talkative. She tells on her brothers when they're eating her food or in her sleep spot. Lol!
She wakes me up in the morning if I'm in bed too long. She's very friendly when people come over. She loves the attention.
She purrs the entire time she lays next to me. I love this beauty.

24 Karrot Orange Crush - Our Karrot Kat
He’s orange, of course, and a fluff ball with a very strong personality. His registered name is 24 Karrot Orange Crush, but we just call him Karrot.
Karrot is extremely rambunctious and full of love. Every morning, he greets me by coming into the bedroom, jumping onto the bed, and laying on my chest while he chirps his good morning. I love his greeting - then he wants his head petted and his ears rubbed.
He’s the softest kitty I’ve ever felt, and definitely the most outgoing. He loves talking to us and chirping at all the dogs.
He's constantly teasing our two English Cream Goldens (Poppy and Sadie), though they’re still a little cautious of him. Hopefully, they’ll be best friends someday soon!
Karrot makes it clear that he’s the king of our house and can go wherever he wants. He loves hanging out in my husband’s outbox in the office while the computer’s running - and even though he scratches on everything (hopefully he’ll grow out of that!), we love him very, very much.
He’s our first Maine Coon, and we’re so thankful we picked this breed. We’ve had other cats before, but he’s truly something special.
Hopefully we have him for many, many years - our last cat, Katy, was the love of my life and lived to 20.
I’m grateful every day for Karrot and everything he brings to our home.
Karrot also stars in our Red-Silver Maine Coon album - take a peek at his gorgeous coat and personality there!

The Mighty Quinn and Inspector Rex. 6 years old and best of friends. Extremely affectionate, follow us everywhere.
We have a cat proof back garden so the boys have a wonderful life. They bring us so much joy.
by: Nanci in Valatie, New York
Holly loves to give love pats with her polydactyl paws as you try to sleep. She loves her squeaky toys and the bathroom sink is her go to place!
by: Tammy Swann in Niagara Falls NY USA
Trixie is our only female pet and our youngest Maine Coon. She got her nickname because she is a tricky little stink pot when it comes to grooming. It takes a lot of patience.
Other than that she is so sweet and loving. Everyone loves her colors. Her favorite game is when mom tosses pieces of food so she can chase and catch it.
She and her brother like to watch the birds and squirrels on the catio and her favorite position is laying on her back. We absolutely love this tricky little bundle of fur.
I had to change the picture so the caption doesn’t fit. The first picture was of her on top of the sink.

Rascal is a shy boy around people he don’t know well. He is a lap warmer for sure. He is now 8 1/2 years old.
His brother Trooper is more adventurous. He doesn’t mind company and loves to fetch. We are so lucky that these boys are part of our family.
We have had the pleasure of living with these two since they were 12 weeks old.

These are my two Maine Coon boys stepping outside for a minute to see the outdoors.
They are such a joy to own. Love cuddling with them every evening watching TV.

Cream/Red Coonies
by: Penny Alexander
Your cats’ cream and red coloring is just like my Pinky! He is a rescue all the
way from Kuwait. I adopted him from a Dallas rescue.
He is definitely Maine Coon but also part British Shorthair according to the vet. He has the small ears.
Otherwise he’s a big (16 lb) floofy cream/red boy… very independent, an elegant gentleman.. Love to all the kitties!❤️😺
Omg what a resemblance to mine 😍

Lion caracteristics, very beautiful
by: Rhonda in Wadsworth, Ohio
Cali is 7 years old and loves to snuggle and sleep in bed. She’s a very independent girl so it has to be her idea.
She is also a quirky girl who loves to play with the stick end of toys instead of the feather end.
by: Dee Weaver in England West Midlands
My beautiful Porcha, 8 years old, she is the most divine cat I have ever owned, I'm so lucky; she follows me everywhere, loves to play football and can’t get enough fuss.
by: Diane in N.S. Canada
Lacey is 10 years old and is a rescue cat. She has all the characteristics of a Maine coon except she is not interested in water and doesn’t make any chirping sounds.
When we first saw her she was in a very poor environment looking thin and not much fur covering her little body. We couldn’t leave her there so she came home with us.
Three years later we have a very fluffy cat and everyone who saw her kept telling us she was a Maine Coon. She is very laidback, likes being centre of attention and has made our lives so enjoyable.
We can’t think of being without her. She knows she is very important to us and every night when husband and I go downstairs to watch TV she comes with us and doesn’t go to bed until we do.
She loves to spread out on my lap whenever I sit in my easy boy chair. Lacey is a big girl approximately 15 lbs not fat but very long and heavy to carry around.
She is very smart and so different than any other cat we have had. Lacey is our baby and we so fortunate to have her.

Sherlock loves his bed that I made from an upside down end table with a pillow in it. This is where he can be found most of the time.
Sherlock continues to monitor my husband's apnea at night and I have seen Sherlock wake up from sleeping to go attend my husband.
Sherlock will be 10 years old in 2 months and weighs in at 22 pounds. He goes in his stroller to the vets and everyone remarks how cute he is in it.
Sherlock has been part of our Memory Lane for over a decade - see Dennis & Anita’s original page where they shares all their beloved Coonies.

We've never had a cat with so much personality. Atticus, who is 8, thinks he’s a dog. He has to be right in the middle of everyone’s business, constantly.
He insists on drinking water from our faucets - every single time we're at a sink. He’s very vocal, and loves to play.
Sometimes we think he’s playing with a ghost, because he'll run around the house like crazy and jump up in the air randomly. He definitely keeps us laughing!

Anouck is 13 years old queen, she talks a lot, and is very cuddly.
I used to live at a farmhouse, she was always outside, chasing mice and catch them.
After we moved she has to stay in the house and every morning she is like a grumpy old lady telling me she wants to go out without a harness.
Slowly she gets used to the stupid human invention harness :)
Anouck’s story goes back nearly a decade on MCCN - see her original 2015 submission, where she earned her nickname "Anouck the Killercat" for her impressive mousing skills!
by: Kathy in Richmond, VA, US
We don’t actually know her genetic background. But based on her fur, her facial features, and the sound she makes (“mmrrrp!”) we think she must be part Maine Coon.
by: Kate & Justin in Austin, TX
Wookie is among the funniest people we know, and the hungriest (she once at an entire stick of butter…)
From kittenhood, she’s been spirited, clever, chatty, and—when she’s ready to cuddle, oh boy. She doesn’t do anything halfway.
She’s a tortie smoke, with ginger tendencies, and a single “butterscotch” paw (among three others which are black).
She adores her big sister, Ntombi (a tuxedo), who still hasn’t quite gotten over the fact her little sister is twice her size.
We get great joy watching Wookie do pretty much any of her favorite activities - nap in high-up places, steal people’s sandwiches, chase her cadre of fake mice and pizza slices, and lead us directly to the treat cabinet, where she chirps and trills until we give her what she wants.
Yes, this Maine Coon has us wrapped around her (massive) paws. We are but lowly servants to her fuzzy whims.

I relate

We are living with our second Maine Coon and recognize the intelligence, love,
devotion and fun you see in your kitties.
Maine Coons share these qualities pretty uniformly from what we’ve seen. I love
all animals, snakes not so much, but Maine Coons are first among equals.
by: Rhonda in Jacksonville, IL USA
Fancy loves to get in our cabinets, we get woke up at nights her banging on the doors trying to get them open.
She also loves to sit on the side of the tub when I take a bath. Fancy is not very good with young children, when our grandkids come over she goes to the basement.
She actually belongs to my sister, but we have her now due to my sister’s health issues.
She’s still learning to get along with my cat, Fancy hisses at her all the time. We really enjoy having her, she’s a very unique cat.
by: Ashley in Michigan
Pounce is a 10 year old Coon! He loves to play outside in the summer. He hates the snow!
Loves bird watching, catching birds, and making bird sounds. He cries for his fancy feast. He loves to play, he’s got a pretty good swat.
He goes crazy for about 3 minutes after going #2. He does not like dogs, he will swat and hiss when they come near him.
