In the journey toward bringing home a purebred Maine Coon kitten, nothing is more valuable than community references!
Just like reading reviews on a product page before purchasing, breeder testimonials provide proof that a cattery is real, ethical, and everything they say they are.
If you are looking for a Maine Coon kitten, sometimes it's hard to know where to start or who to trust. Many future Coonie parents ask, "where do I find a breeder?" Trusted recommendations are a great start.
Our community Photo Albums have been growing for over a decade, and when a member shares where their kitten is from, we'll add it here!
Consider this the "ultimate reviews page" for reputable Maine Coon Catteries.
Check out these beauties and see if the breeder associated with them is near you. Even if they aren't, they may be able to refer you to a colleage!

This is Ginny our three year old dramaqueen.
She's a big softie once you get to know her, despite that look of doom in her eyes XD she was actually called Idun after the goddess of youth, but we felt Ginny suited her confident and independent personality more :)

Finn and Pippi are from a great cattery here in Tennessee called Oak Grove Farms.
Sarah is a kind and caring breeder, so our brother and sister kitties are very socialized.
Pippi is the female and is loving and playful. Finn in the male. He is so easy going, and goofy....should have named him Gronk!
We are both retired and they bring us joy, love and boundless entertainment!

Beautiful Red Silver Coon Twins! Boris was born Aug 14, 2022 just before midnight and Natasha followed just after midnight on Aug 15, 2022.
They come from a long line of Russian Pedigree Pageant cats! Hence the name.
Their first home was with their breeders Paul and Sherri Robicheau of Mountain Rose Maine Coon Cattery in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia Canada. I brought the babies to their new home on Dec 9, 2022.
Even though they appear as identical, they both have their own little personalities. Boris is always up to Badness 😈, he just can’t stay out of trouble, while Natasha is sweet and cuddly and enjoys the Hunt 😇
They are very special and very spoiled😜 Their Mama Loves them BUNCHES❤️❤️💕💕
PS Boris and Natasha also love their much older brother from another species Finn. They torment him and then snuggle with him. It is beautiful to see. This is a very special breed of cat.

Anastasia came from Jinxy’s Den cattery in Iowa. She is just going on 15 weeks and is an absolute sweetheart.
She loves people, toys, brushing (even the belly and pits!), and most of all her big brother Gus!

Montgomery is a purebred Maine Coon from the Lilicoon breeders in Quebec, Canada.
He lives in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He's currently 20 weeks old and we picked him up at 12 weeks.
He eats Orijen and Pets4Life raw or Tiki for wet food. He had his own website and it had many pictures, food and weight trackers, and other tidbits from his daily life (one of his owners is a web developer and was bored one day).
He has been a little adorable fur ball from day one. He sometimes crawls into bed, sleeps on his back with his head on the pillow.
This never fails to elicit a giggle from us. He's definitely a clown. He can get a little overly rambunctious when he's playing/hunting, but that generally involves him rolling off the couch or some other bit of silliness.
He was named after the famous WWII allied general. Your site has been a very handy reference for all aspects of raising a Maine Coon, thank you so much for running this site!

On a cold day in January, I was Googling Maine Coon kittens after visiting a cat show in Nashville.
Fate has always paired me with Siamese, except one beautiful long-haired tabby girl who chose me 35 years ago. But ahhh, the Maine Coons at this show...
Maine Coon Oasis had a doll baby who looked just like my tabby Allie - and her name was Ellie!
Two weeks later, we drove six hours from Nashville to South Carolina to pick up Ellie. My husband could not talk me out of it. Ellie is my soul mate. You know how you just feel it in your 🧡? One look and I knew.
We weren't even looking for a new fur baby. I was just looking at Maine Coons for the fun of it. And then SHE happened.
Ellie just turned 1 year old. She is brown and black with a small white locket and the prettiest white eye liner you've ever laid eyes upon.
Ellie is living her best life - chasing ice cubes around the kitchen and stealing seats (and toys) from our grandchildren.
She plays mouse games on her tablet with her big fur brother Aspen, and even lets the little humans play too! Ellie enjoys sleeping on her window perch or in her fuzzy beds.
But the best naps are on Mommy's lap. Mommy and Daddy love her to pieces!

This is Lucca James at 7 weeks old. We expect to bring him home in about 5 weeks from his breeder Mary Miller at Mylancoon.
We recently lost our 13 year old Jimmy who also was a purebred Maine Coon that we adopted at 1 year old from Mary.
We are heart broken, he was my best friend but we hope to mend our broken heart with this little, photogenic fella.
Mary tells me that he loves to pose for camera. Can't wait to get him home and to spoil him.
We named after one of our favorite cities that we visited in Italy and in memory of Jimmy who will always be with me.
