These loving tributes to beloved Maine Coons are so moving. Tiggy, Thea, Truffles, Maggie, Bubba Moose, and Smokey and more will live forever in the hearts of their families...

This is the third anniversary of Tiggy's passing, and I just learned about the existence of Maine Coons!
I would love to know if he was a mix, which I strongly suspect after looking at all the pictures. My 7-year-old daughter picked him out at our local shelter & he became the first cat that I had ever owned.
He was a delight & unexpectedly made me a cat lover, waking me up every morning by lightly tapping my cheek until I got up to feed him!
Weighing in at 17 lb. & a great hunter, our "owl-eared kitty" with green eyes is dearly missed by us all who would love to know more about the Maine Coons.

Gorgeous Cat!

He sure looks like a Maine Coon mix. All the Coons I have known were super playful, people friendly and fascinated with water. Do you have any other cats in your life these days?

Thea was a beautiful dark tabby domestic shorthair.
She didn't like being picked up too much as she didn't like feeling restricted, wanting to be 'doing' something all the time.
Thea was talkative and loving but had a dangerous zest for life and her curiosity finally got the better of her one month short of her 2 year anniversary.
Whenever she was asleep and I touched her, or if she woke and saw me, she would stretch over onto her back and say 'meow, wow, wow, wow, wow'!
I lost her just over 2 years ago but I still miss her terribly. At least I have lots of lovely photos and videos of her.

Sophie was a very affectionate and loving cat. She always laid her head on my shoulder and stayed that way a long time.
Laid half her body on my shoulder in bed when i read, came right over to sit on my lap when I sat.
Followed my husband when he went to brush his teeth for bed and flew on the bed to be pet then play a few minutes. Smacked our legs when we walked past her and meowed Momma and so much more.
She had my heart and gave me hers. I miss her more than I can say. She went to the Rainbow Bridge April 4,2013.

My beloved big guy went to the Rainbow Bridge in May of 2011 at the age of 15 years. I will love him always.

A dearest friend and companion for close to twenty years, who had an almost-human interactive style to his personality. His spirit continues to pervade our home and our lives.
We lost our Sweet Maggie a couple of weeks ago. She was the best cat ever...my girls were able to push her around in baby carriages and carry her everywhere when they were little. She would always be right by our side. We miss her SO much!

Truffles,
Passed away at 16yrs old after getting cancer. He was a beautiful Truffles color.
He was a gift from a best friend who didn't know about main coon so it was amazing he just kept growing and growing out of his cat beds.
Truffles got a puppy when he was 3 yrs old and he cared for the puppy as if it was his baby. The 2 were inseparable his whole life. Truffles was truly a gentle giant with everyone including my grandson as it showed truffles was bigger then the child.
He was a lap lover and couldn't wait to get into my lap and cuddle up and sleep on me. He slept beside me at night like a person. He was a wonder companion and I miss him everyday but count the years together with cherished memories. He is loved and missed always.
