My beloved Gabriel, who was featured quite a few times on the pages of this website, died on March 22, 2016.

He was a majestic animal, and he was my best friend for 15 years. My heart aches for him all the time, the only thing that was ever truly mine, and the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen.

King Bruno

by: Holly in Massachusetts

My dear sweet beloved boy crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge on January 3 2017. He was loved and adored by all who met him, but mostly by his human parents.

He will hold a special spot in our hearts forever and he will never be forgotten. He was the biggest, handsomest, goofiest, friendliest, fur baby I have ever owned.

Its going to take a lot to fill those "PAWS". We love you King Bruno, Sweet Bella misses you awful and mom and dad are heartbroken. Goodnight sweet Bruno.

Quincey

Quincey was my buddy for 15 years. I will miss his whisker tickles, head bumps and love bites. I'll see you later my love.

Rusty

We lost our sweet boy this past August 14th. For seventeen and half years he was our loyal companion and helped fill our home with happiness.

Rusty was our big, lovable clown with a personality larger than life. He was as sweet an animal as God ever made, and we suspect the mold was broken after creating him.

Rusty loved everyone, and whether family, friend or stranger, he was there to great you at the door and welcome you to "his" home. He was very nosey and felt that he should be included in every activity around the house.

Our constant shadow and a huge part of our daily lives, he is missed terribly. Though we can no longer see, hear or touch him, a part of him will always be with us.

Rusty,
The joy you brought to our lives is only surpassed by the love we feel for you. So, until that wonderful day when we at last meet again, you will live on here in our hearts. We miss you, we love you!

Clyde

Clyde was only with me for a year and half after I adopted him from the Humane Society at 4-5 years old.

Clyde was a clown that made me laugh everyday with his antics and laid back personality.

He loved any and all visitors that came to the door, and needed to personally supervise any handyman.

Clyde loved to make biscuits, lie on his back with his paws in the air, he loved his treats, and relaxing at the end of the day with him mom. He endured daily cuddles (but purred the whole time).

Clyde left us way too early, and he will be dearly missed as he brightened my home with his antics and personality.

My fur baby Annie

by: Liane in Charlotte, NC

Last Friday night we came home and discover my love Annie dead on our bed! It was the second worst day of my life next to my father passing!

Annie was my best friend, she stuck by my side, she helped me deal with the struggles of losing my father. She was like a child to me since I never had children.

Annie had just turned 14 and I just am beyond devastated! I don't know how to get through this I am miserable and my heart hurts. There were no signs and they think she had a heart attack. 14 is too young and my 13 year old Maine Coon baby is devastated too.

I don't think there will be a day when I don't feel my heavy heart. She was a purr box that gave me such joy.

RIP my sweet girl! You will be in my heart always and forever!!!!

Oreo

by: Lori in Wisconsin

fluffy tuxedo cat

Oreo Passed from HCM. A terrible trait for Maine Coons. He was the most intelligent gentle giant.

I don't believe in any rainbow bridges. I believe he is in Heaven with all the others who have passed on to be with Jesus waiting. All of creation groans for us to be revealed to go to be with them.

We have had many pets pass on but none so grievous a loss as Oreo. Love never dies. See you again soon. Your brother Simba still calls for you these 6 yrs gone by.

Sir Winston....Maine Coon

by: Jeannette Barringer in Apéx, North Carolina

fluffy tabby with white kitty

I rescued him at two yrs from a lady that told vet she wanted him euthanized...he was always sick. He weighed 28 lbs! The vet called me and I fell in love with his beauty and personality.

Everyone was enchanted with his personality and humor. I kept him on the food recommended and he did well...never had another UTI.

He was more like a dog than a cat which endeared my dog friends to him. He knew what no meant and he was well behaved.

He was too heavy for me to carry around but I did get him to a good weight of 21 lbs and he did well...kept him on a treatment plan for his mega colon. He passed away on Sept. 13, 2015. He has left my life, but he will never leave my heart.

My precious Yoshi

Yoshi passed over to Rainbow Bridge in December of 2016 when he was 18 1/2. I have had him since he was 12 weeks old from a breeder.

He was a blue / silver classic tabby and my 2nd Coonie. His vet and I got him though a couple of serious health issues, but he could not survive the brain tumor which he got at age 18.

He was such a sweet and well behaved boy and actually knew the meaning to a list of words. He would answer with a loud quick "mow" meaning "yes" when asked if he wanted his lunch or a treat or whatever.

How Beautiful
by: Kathy Sampson
He was a beautiful cat. You and he were so lucky to have had each other for so many years. It is so hard to say goodbye to our precious fur babies. I look forward to meeting all my precious fur babies at the rainbow bridge someday. So sorry for your loss.

Ben the Beautiful

by: Alexi Latimer in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Jack was my maine coon from the Calabasas shelter north of Los angeles. He would only look at the wall and was very thin.

The shelter had him transfered to a shelter close by my home and I picked him up there on arrival. He was so beautiful and soft and warm, I sat down in the shelter and cried and hugged him till i was exhausted.

I took him home and for 14 years he graced our lives. A few weeks ago,he got very ill and he left us for the rainow bridge. That beautiful boy is gone and this time I cant stop crying, because he is never comming back. I found a cat just like him on Petfinder, but they refused to let me have him because I was at my second home in Santa fe New Mexico.

My heart is completely shattered. I miss him so much. I had changed his name to Ben, and he was the love of my life along with my husband. We miss him terribly. Ben I will always love you with my heart and soul and thankyou for being YOU and sharing your beautiful life with us.

Haimish aka Snowy White Spider Monkey

Everything you read about how the Maine Coon temperament is so very true.

Me and my husband were adopted by Haimish in Dec 1997, and he grew to be the centre of our universe, he loved to get in bed every morning and snuggle under my arms having his ears rubbed until they got warm.

He loved taking me for walks in the garden and our local neighbourhood. I so loved his sweet chirrups, and very loud hellos when I had been out.

He loved to play fetch, and drink water from my hands, and most all his precious Mummy tummy rubs. Sadly after 18 glorious years of love and friendship, Haimish went to Rainbow Bridge in Dec 2015.

We miss him so dearly, and our house is so empty. These big fellas certainly make a mark on your heart.
