Rescued this beautiful boy from the neighbor's murderous tomcat.
He's almost 8 lbs now at 4.5 months old. Vet confirmed he's a Maine Coon mix. He has all of the gentle giant characteristics already.
He loves my dogs and I've leashed trained him to go for walks with us. Best cat ever. :)

Lynx tipped furry ears, very furry big paws. Long sturdy body. Weighs about 12 lbs. Raccoon tail.
Chirps and burps, we call him the dog cat and he is such a love bug. He is a rescue cat, we think he was someone’s pet but was injured and a stray for several months. Several people have suggested he is part Maine Coon.

We had a Maine Coon mix for 14 years. I had no idea what a Maine Coon was when we got him, but now can't imagine having any other breed.
We are looking at adopting another one I found being fostered near me, but after visiting him today, I'm 2nd guessing whether he's actually Maine Coon mix.
The whole litter certainly seemed to have the personality traits of a Maine Coon, and I do think he displays some of the physical traits as well, but one thing that's missing is the fluffy tail, so I'm just not sure.
Can you tell me what you think after seeing the photos?

We just adopted Bruno from a shelter. The people at the shelter think he might be part Maine Coon.
He is about 7 or 8 months old. He has tufted eartips, big tufted paws, and a long fluffy tail.
He does not appear very substantial at the moment because he is so thin, but he is really long when he stretches! He is also very interested in the humans of the household and follows us around to see what we are up to.

I found Coco on a Facebook page a little over 4 years ago. Her owner was moving and couldn’t take her with.
She was fixed and declawed, and what the previous owner described as “fully grown and older”. She was going to take her to the local humane society if nobody wanted her.
Coco was so gorgeous, I knew she had to be part of our family! I’ve had people ask if she is part MC but I’m not really sure. She’s got one heck of a personality, she reminds me of a dog a lot of the time.
And a very distinctive meow that I’ve never heard from other house cats before. She’s gotten even bigger and fluffier than when she first joined our family. She’s very affectionate as well. I can’t imagine not having her with us.

I got my cat Coal from a local shelter and I fell in love with him.
He is so lovable with everyone and just has a laid back attitude about him. He is mostly black with a tiny bit of white.
He is mostly attached to me but friendly to everyone. He weighs about 16 pounds but doesn’t look it! He carries his weight well.
He is the biggest of the 3 cats we have. He is not over weight the vet said he is supposed to be a bigger cat. He is not like any other cat I have had.
There is just something different about him. He has this caring and gentle demeanor about him. Can you tell me if Coal is part Maine Coon?!
