Praying for you
by: Pam
I am so sorry for your loss. Torri looks so much like my beautiful Katie who died suddenly two years ago. Remember you will be with her again when you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.God be with you in your time of sorrow.

Room for more...
by: Jenny
My deepest condolences on your loss. I, too, lost a beloved Coon mix 3 1/2 months ago at only 6 yrs old. Like my Toby, Torri can never be replaced.

I thought that furkids that special are one of a kind and maybe they are. But after a week, I so missed that Maine Coon attention and love - the house was too quiet and empty even though I have 3 DSH rescues and a small dog.

2 weeks later I got a female MC kitten. 2 months after that, I got another. While neither Caoimhe or Maya is Toby and my heart still aches for him, the girls have brought the love and joy back into my life that I needed and only a Maine Coon can.

Like Toby, Torri can't be replaced but there's always room for one (or 2) more.

Thoughts and hugs,
Jenny

Sorry for your loss, I lost a moggie kitten of 17 months, last week too. It breaks your heart doesn't it. My other 3 keep sitting right were we buried her, as if they know.

Pay it forward
by: Joanna Funkhouser
So sorry to hear of your loss...A wise old man once was comforting me when my beloved Sadie crossed over the bridge.

I will never forget what he said to me as I professed to never own another pet again because the pain was just too much. He said..."Sadie was a wonderful and loving cat to you.

If you never give another animal the chance to repay your safe shelter with their love and companionship, then you are in a sense saying that she didn't pay you enough." Thinking of it that way changed my whole perception of the pain I was suffering.

When you go to get that new kitty...remember that you are paying it forward! And smile up at Torri for I am sure she will be smiling back at you. :)

Don't Wait to get a new friend
by: Karen
No, you can never replace that beautiful animal but a new one eases your pain... I lost my best friend/companion and three days later my hubby said we are going to the shelter....

there we found a small tabby with green eyes and he has grown into such a smart and adorable little boy..we have such fun with him...it eased my pain considerably to have him to love..and he is one fantastic animal! Don't wait....
