little bear

We got Little Bear when he was a 10 week old kitten. He was a very special boy and was definitely my little love.

As you can see, he was quite handsome, and was one of the most affectionate cats ever. He loved to head-bump, slept with us every night, greeted me with great enthusiasm every day when I got home from work. He was a great companion.

Sadly, in September 2012 he was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma tumor in his cheek. Radiation knocked the tumor back a bit and kept it at bay, and despite that and other medications, the cancer did its nasty work hidden from all of us.

We helped him cross the rainbow bridge on March 9. We'll always miss him.

I know how much it hurts when you lose a beloved pet. It's been 10 years for me and I still shed a tear when I remember her...

He is beautiful. I'm sorry for your loss. I dread the day when mine are taken from me. I know they will be waiting for me at the end of the bridge. Funny thing is, I will be bombarded by many.

Wow, little bear sure is beautiful! My heart aches for you. I am sure you miss him so. I lost my last maine coon to stomach cancer and it was so hard.

My Sympathy to You
by: Pat in Fayetteville, AR USA
I'm so very sorry that there is an empty place in your family with Little Bear's passing. It is so difficult to say goodbye to a beloved furry family member and it sounds as if he was so much loved.

I hope you can take some solace in the fact that he had, I'm quite sure, a wonderful life with you and that, when he became ill, you did everything you could possibly do to give him the best care available.

Please know that there are many people who understand what you're experiencing and share in the grief because we, too, have had to say goodbye to our dear kitties.

May you, very soon, be able to recall only the good, love-filled years before his illness and smile knowing that Love never dies. Bless his sweet spirit and bless you for all the love you gave him.
Sincerely,
Pat in Fayetteville, AR, USA

I am sorry about Little Bear. He seems to be like my giant mainecoon, Eli, and gives love and comfort to everyone. Cuddly to sleep with. Always a pleasure to have around. The good lord will graciously welcome you and adore you always. You will always be loved here. Bob, Eli, Nichole
