Cat Harness & Matting

Are we doing the right thing?

Pinny wears a harness most of the day, every day. It is a round the neck and body type.

She loves being outside despite being an ‘indoor’ cat, and because we are both retired we have the time to spend outside with her, or keep a close eye on her if we are inside.

Her lead is 10 metres long so she is free to roam. Our issue is that she matts under her front legs where the body part of the harness sits, and on her sides where she lays down in the shrubbery.

I try to brush her every day, and hubby feeds her a Licky licks to occupy her.

This works well and we have successfully fully de-matted one leg joint and are now working on the other, as well as removing the small ones on her sides before they become big.

Does anyone know of a harness that is less of a problem for them?
