Duke, my Ginger Cat

by Cindy Millar
(Texas)

duke catDuke

This is Duke someone ran over this baby and I am submitting this for a dear friend in the UK.

This was a very Gentle and loving cat, not one to fight wait for his turn to eat.... There is a huge hole left in the Owner, whose name is Julian that I wanted to submit this sweet baby for all to see.

Orange men
by: Helen
Julian, I am so sorry to hear that a wonderful orange man like Duke has left this world. Ginger cats are always something special and I've never met one that was mean.

Condolences,

Zoe

zoe catZoe

Hi- Zoe passed away a month ago at age 17. She was adopted from a local shelter.

I've always been convinced she was more Maine Coon than mix. 16 pounds of fluff, with a big huge tail. Every trait mentioned she had.

She was a character and is missed very much every day.

Zoe has the look
by: Jessy
...of a Maine Coon, all right. Very handsome kitty--I'm a sucker for torties and calicos.

Bye Zoe
by: Ariel
Just for a while! What a beautiful Maine Coon. If she was a mix it must have been a sprinkle of "other". I am sure she gave you many treasures to hide in your heart for ever! She was blessed to be cherished.

Sorry for your loss
by: Kim Sweet
I am sorry to read about you loss, its never easy to lose a family member no matter how many legs they have or how much hair they wear. I lost my King Lewie in Nov of last year (profile on here) and since then I have adopted 3 other Maine Coons, one looks much like Lewie (Ivan, Tinker, and Makani all have profiles here too).

I hope Zoe gave you many GREAT memories and lessons in life. Remember all the moments you shared and I am sure you will find another cat, not to replace Zoe, but to keep you company and brighten your days once again.

Tigger

by Dawn
(Leicester, UK)

rip_tigger

He was the most loving, protective, dog hating cat I've ever known. We had him from 8 weeks old until he left us when he was 14 years old.

At his largest he weighed 28lbs. We were never allowed to bathe alone he would join us, and really loved the snow.

His favourite hobby was pouncing on unsuspecting 'Dobermans' from the top of the shed.

We miss him a lot and have a lot of very special memories of our gorgeous boy.

Tigger
by: Helen
Dawn, you were so lucky to have had your Tigger for fourteen fun filled, wonderful years. He left you a heart full of memories to carry you on. God bless.

re: Dog hating
by: dawn
yes he really hated dobermans, and any other dog that came along, he would terrorize them to the point they would run from him as soon as they spotted him. The only dog he didn't fight with was a friends Rottweiler, they used to snuggle up to each other and sleep.

Dog-Hating?
by: Jessy
Not necessarily. Pouncing on Dobies may just have been a form of entertainment. I had a kitten who found it amusing to inveigle my mother's beagle into chasing her, whereupon she would dash under a sofa and the dog would bump his nose on it.

Then for good measure she would stretch out a paw and scratch his nose. The dog was so dumb that he fell for it every time.
